Project 365-Week 16

I am a whole week late in posting...YIKES! Here is what the week looked like here.

Sunday

Reese has been up to no good again. Guess what he ate this time?

That used to be a CD. Not anymore! Bad dog!!

Monday

Tonight I picked up my friend Kristine and we went to the grocery store at 10:00 p.m. (It's just easier after the kids are in bed sometimes!) While going down the aisles we found this in the International section.

I know it's blurry, but can you see what it says? "It's NOT for girls". It was a chocolate bar. How can that possibly not be for girls? So guess what we did? We bought one and ate some! We'll show you...not for girls! HA!

Tuesday

Ella has a crush at school. It is quite cute. They write notes and draw pictures for each other. Here she is with her newest note and picture.

I am not ready for this!!

Wednesday

Junior photographer, AKA Kyla was taking pictures today. Here is one of her shots.

Showing off her beautiful manicure by Miss Kristine!

Thursday

Today the girls got very special gifts. Carrie's family went to Disney World over Spring Break and they brought something home for the girls.

Let me just tell you how excited the girls were! They think these headbands and bracelets are the best things since sliced bread!! Thank you King's for thinking of us while you were away!

Friday

Today I went to the pre-school to help with a "painting project". Guess what I was painting?

Those are Kyla's hands, but I painted many sets and each one got painted 4 times!!

Saturday

I have been looking forward to today for a few months! Today Kyla and I traveled to Valparaiso for a very special baby shower. (Ella was at a birthday party) Kylie and Shaun are expecting their first baby in June. Kylie was like my first daughter, as I would watch her and her 3 siblings while her parents would travel when I was in college. Kevin and I sang at their wedding and the boys were the ring bearers and Ella was the flower girl. (Kyla wasn't born yet, but she is named after her). Can you tell I love her and her family so very much? Here is a picture of Kylie and Kyla at the shower.

Kylie, you are going to be a fabulous mother and I pray God's protection over you and that sweet little girl as He puts her finishing touches together!!

And that is the way I wish every week could end!!

Project 365-Week 15

This week was Spring Break for the kids! While we didn't "go" on vacation we still managed to have some fun and spend some much needed time together!

Sunday

I had to work all day today and when I got home I was tired! No picture today.

Monday

Today was an exciting day! Kevin started a new job today!! It has been over a year since he lost his job and we are so thankful for something, anything, at this point. This is a seasonal position with Ginger Valley, a local garden center.

Sporting his new work shirt before he left. A special thanks to Kristin for the inside help with this!!

Tuesday

Happy day today...no work and an outing with the kids and special friends! Kristine and I wanted to do something with our kids so we decided to head up to St. Joe, Michigan and go to Curious Kids Museum. We went to the museum, ate lunch on the beach (while freezing) and rode the carousel. It was a fun day!!

Kyla inside a huge bubble!

Bryce's image on a life size push-pin board. (we could've played with this ALL day!)

Astronaut Ethan!

Ella feeding the seagulls her sandwich crust. There were only 2 when she started and by the time she was done there were a bunch that came out of no where!

We finished off with some ice cream from Kilwins. A trip to St. Joe isn't complete without it!

What a fun day we all had!!

Wednesday

Look at Kevin's hands....

He has been working with pine and blue spruce trees at work. His hands look like pin cushions! He now has gloves!!

Thursday

Back to work today. And guess what...I didn't take a picture. So, here's another one from our fun time Tuesday.

This is the view of Silver Beach and Lake Michigan from the museum. Looks deceivingly warm doesn't it?

Friday

Tonight I thought it would be fun to take the girls to sleep over at my mom's house. She is still in New York and the girls love to play with her dog and cat (which I have been taking care of) so we went that way. Oh what a bad idea! The girls didn't get to sleep until at least midnight and I only got about an hour and a half of sleep because the dog would not stay off of me. No picture, but imagine a sleep deprived, cranky me! Important note...the girls had fun!

Saturday

When we got up this morning the girls were hungry, but there was nothing at my mom's. We had to stick around the area to pick Bryce up from a sleep over, so I caved and took the girls here.

Krispy Kreme. The light was on and they were happy! :)

Hope you have had a great week!!

Project 365-Week 14

Hooray..finally a post on time!! Life is still crazy but I am always so thankful to have something to remember the week with.

Sunday

I forgot to take a picture today but it was a great day! Was able to go to church with my family and to small group! Hooray!!

Monday

Today was "Crazy Dress Up Day" at Kyla's school.

I think she was successful!

Tonight Kevin installed our new dishwasher. So thankful to my mom for helping us out with it!

Fingerprints are there already!

Tuesday

Do you see the white thing on my coat sleeve?

That is a grey hair I pulled out of my head! Yikes, I think the stress of life is catching up with me! :)

Wednesday

My new shoes for work finally came today!

Super comfy!!

Thursday

Tonight Bryce and Ethan had their Spring piano recital.

They worked hard and sounded great!

Here are all of the students with Miss Michelle afterwards.

Great job everyone!!

Friday

Tonight after work I ran home and got the girls and we went to church for movie night. They were showing this...

We had a great time! As a side note, I love Rapunzel's hair at the end of the movie. I was actually thinking, "I wonder what my hair would look like with that cut." Am I pathetic or what?

Kevin received something today that is altering his lifestyle.

He has not yet been "officially" diagnosed as diabetic, but we feel it is inevitable. So thankful to our dear friends the Fishers for getting this to help him start to get a handle on things and get the necessary information so that his doctor will do something!

Saturday

It's back....

My mom is in New York for the next week so I get the Cube! It is fun to drive and the kids get a kick out of it!

I hope you have had a great week!

Project 365-Week 13

So very late in getting this up, but finally had the time to sit down and do it! Here is a look at the week:

Sunday

Do you know what this is?

This is a Pluot. It is a cross between an apricot and a plum and my family LOVES them! I can only find them at Sam's club.

Monday

Kyla never ceases to make me smile. She and Ella love wearing headbands but sometimes say they hurt. I got a pack of the soft elastic ones for them to try. Kyla was very excited and immediately put one on...

Oh how I love that girl!!

Tuesday

A little girl was taking pictures with my camera today and she captured this subject.

At least he isn't doing anything bad at that moment.

Wednesday

Today was a bad day at our house...

...our dishwasher died. Not exactly what we need right now!

Thursday

No picture today.

Friday

Went to a re-sale at a local church tonight with a friend. Afterwards we went to Texas Roadhouse to get a bite to eat. (btw, not impressed with their food) Anyway, we got these.

Fried pickles. They were served with ranch which wasn't good, so we had them bring the spicier horseradish sauce. Much better.

Saturday

Today I gave the girls something I found at the re-sale. The contents of these baggies made them so happy.

Any guesses?

Tap shoes!!! They LOVE them..can you tell?

There you have it, another week at the Yoder's!
