Project 365-Week 41

Another week over already? They seem to be going faster and I seem to be accomplishing much less! How does that work? Here is a peek at the week here.

Sunday

I have been waiting for today for a while. Kevin and I went to see a fabulous acappella group called Straight No Chaser. If you are not familiar with them, you should take the time to check them out. They sing all genres of music. Amazing vocalists and so entertaining and engaging! See for yourself....

Monday

Today a certain 6 year old artist made signs for every one's bedroom door. Here is what she made us.

Now everyone will know where to look for me! :)

Tuesday

I saw these wispy clouds today and thought they were so fun.

Then tonight I had to go to a meeting. Kevin had built a fire before I left and here is what I saw when I went out to say goodbye.

He was reading a Bible story to the girls. Love it!

Wednesday

Today I said goodbye to a loyal friend of 15+ years. We had a good relationship, but it was time to go our separate ways. So I said thank you for being there as I became a new wife. For letting me call on you at all hours of the day and night. Thank you for walking me through motherhood and being a constant presence for my children. You were even so kind to let my kids pound on you over the years. I pray that you will find rest where you are going. Please join me in bidding a fond farewell.

They served me well!

Thursday

Today was supposed to be my day off, but no such luck. We have so much merchandise and not enough hours or people to get through it. Here is what I went in to.

All I can tell you is 4+ hours later and it doesn't look much different. Crazy!!!

Friday

I think I have forgotten to mention that as of this week it is official. I am the full time assistant store manager at Crazy 8.

Keys and all.....oooh.

Saturday

With all of my working the kids are in bed a lot when I get home. This is what I see many evenings.

Precious. Tonight I was home and tucked every single one of them in. I miss my babies and my hubby!!

I hope you have had a super week and hopefully I'll make it around to see everyone!

  3. What a fun time for you and your hubby - plus some good music!
I love the fire picture - talk about quality time!
I started reading your tribute to your pans and then had to laugh! I'm about ready to say good-bye to some well-used bath towels!
Yeah for work, but hard to miss those bedtime routines . . . but what a precious site, children all snug in their beds!
    Have a great week!

  4. Busy week...bummer that the kids are in bed most nights when you get home (my hubby is like that during football season).Love the picture of hubby reading to the girls around the fire; wish it was cool enough to have a fire here. Oh and I need new pots and pans so badly. Hope you have a great week.

  5. Bless your heart, Tory. I know how hard it must be to sacrifice the time with your family, but at the same time I'm so happy that you got the position! Congratulations! If you or Kevin need anything, dinner, anything, please let us know.

  6. Now that I think about it we got new pots after 15 years (5 years ago). We had T-fal - & we still use some pieces. Funny how you get used to a size & nothing else will do!

I'm glad you got the job - but I know the sacrifices you make to work. Hopefully the work & the extra income will make it worth it!

  10. Tori,
I love the signs on your door... girls are such "keepers" aren't they? They are just born to take care of families.

I saw the exact same clouds! I didn't have a camera with me so I called John because I wanted to share them with someone. I'm glad you appreciated them too!

You kind of scared me with your goodbye to your pots... I thought someone dear to you had died or you had a terrible fight. :) phew!

I'll have to come in to see you at Crazy 8. Is it in the mall?

Love the sweetpea tucked in bed. They are always precious, but there is something extra sweet about sleeping children.

Prayers and blessings for your week, Tori!

Love that your hubs made a fire with the kids. Sweet memories. But what is Reese chewing on?? ;)

Sweet, sleepy baby girl. Melt my heart.

Our girls have signs plastered all over their doors right now. Such a fun season in life, yes?

    (((hugs)))
